Bureau of Rural Sciences
The Bureau of Rural Sciences (BRS) is a scientific agency within the department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry - Australia (AFFA). At the interface between science and policy, BRS is an essential part of the Government's capacity for integrated evidence-based policy development. BRS provides scientific advice to government in support of more profitable, competitive and sustainable, Australian agricultural, food, fisheries and forestry industries and enhancing the natural resource base to achieve greater national wealth and stronger rural and regional communities.
Countrylink
CRIS is the Federal Government's information access service for country people. This program provides people living outside of the capital cities with information about Federal Government programs, agencies and services.
Farmwide
Farmwide Pty Ltd is an Australian company owned by the State and Territory farming organisationsof the National Farmer's Federation (NFF). Farmwide is based in Canberra and is a commercial organisation, set up to look for commercial opportunities for farm organisation members at the national level.
Foundation for Young Australians
The Foundation for Young Australians is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation committed to developing innovative initiatives that support and empower the lives of young Australians aged 12 to 25.

La Trobe University
La Trobe University, Bendigo, presents single and double Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering. The Civil Engineering course at Bendigo is designed to produce graduates who are capable in a wide range of work environments, and to this end it has very strong practical and theory components supplemented with field trips and projects.FRRR the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and The Pratt Foundation support the University to offer several scholarships.
With an ageing population in regional and rural communities across Australia and the difficulty of retaining skilled workers (especially amongst young, professional workers), a substantial decrease in the net skill base has occurred. In particular, there is a nation-wide shortage of Civil Engineers. Graduates of the La Trobe University Civil Engineering course are keenly sought by public and private organisations when (and often before!) they graduate.
MoneyMinded
The development of the MoneyMinded programs was initiated and funded by ANZ with contributions from community sector and education experts, including the Australian Financial Counselling and Credit Reform Association.
National Farmers’ Federation
The National Farmers’ Federation was established in 1979 and is the single national voice for Australian agriculture. The Federation is made up of State farm organisations, commodity councils, associates and affiliates.
NFF priorities are the broad national issues - the economy, industrial relations, trade, business investment and costs and the environment. Rural community interests such as rural services, telecommunications, education and animal welfare are also represented.
National Rural Health Alliance
The National Rural Health Alliance is the peak national body working to improve the health of Australians living in rural and remote areas. The NRHA is comprised of twenty-four Member Bodies, each of which is a national organisation in its own right. The twenty-four represent both the consumers of health services and the health professionals providing service to non-metropolitan areas.
Philanthropy Australia
Philanthropy Australia is the national membership organisation for grantmaking trusts and foundations. Their mission is to promote and protect the interests of family, private, corporate and community giving in Australia.
The Myer Foundation
Myer family philanthropy has its origins in the will of Sidney Myer who founded the Myer retailing business. On his death in 1934 he left one tenth of his estate for the benefit of the community in which he made his fortune. The Myer Foundation was established and initially endowed by Sidney Myer’s sons, the late Kenneth Myer, and Baillieu Myer in 1959. It is now supported by three generations of Myer family members, and represents their continuing commitment to philanthropy
The Pratt Foundation The Pratt Foundation was established in 1978 by Richard and Jeanne Pratt with the shared vision of supporting charitable enterprises and adding value to philanthropy. The Foundation is now one of the largest private sources of philanthropy in Australia. In the words of its mission statement, it aims "to enrich the lives of our community" and, in the words of Jeremiah, it works to fulfil this aim in a spirit of "kindness, justice and equity".
Victorian Womens Trust
The Trust works to improve the status of, and conditions for, women in Victoria in whatever practical ways it can. It uses a funding program to invest in women and effect social change; forms strategic alliances; undertakes significant action projects; advocates on relevant issues; fosters networks for the exchange of skill, ideas and information; showcases women's talents; and encourages women from diverse backgrounds to participate in social and cultural events, discussion and debate.
