Caring for Ageing in Rural Australia
The Caring for Ageing in Rural Australia is a targeted small grant program for projects that assist in caring for the aged in rural and remote Australia.
In 2011 applications are invited from communities in rural Queensland and the Shires of Gilgandra and Warren NSW with preference given to towns with a population of less than 10,000. Closing date is 28 October 2011.
The 2011 program has been made possible with support from the Charles and Sylvia Viertel Charitable Foundation, which is managed by ANZ Trustees, and the Estate of the Late Harold Gordon Jones, managed by Perpetual.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available for projects and activities that directly benefit the ageing population in their community and help redress disadvantage caused by remoteness. Applications are invited from not-for-profit, incorporated community organisations. Organisations should have an ABN or Incorporation Certificate.
