Caring for Ageing Rural Australians

The Caring for Ageing Rural Australians Program (CARA) is a targeted small grant program for projects that assist in caring for the aged in rural and remote Australia.

2012 are now closed but you can view a list of recipients on our website.

The 2012 program has been made possible with support from the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation, the Charles and Sylvia Viertel Charitable Foundation, which is managed by ANZ Trustees, the Robert William Robertson Estate, managed by ANZ Trustees, and the Estate of the Late Harold Gordon Jones, managed by Perpetual.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for projects and activities that directly benefit the ageing population in their community and help redress disadvantage caused by remoteness. Applications are invited from not-for-profit, incorporated community organisations.  Organisations should have an ABN or Incorporation Certificate.
