Rural Early Childhood Education Program (REACH)

The REACH program was established in response to the level of need for an independent and flexible source of funding of up to $20,000. Community groups such as community based pre-schools or kindergartens, not for profit long day or occasional care centres, playgroups, neighbourhood houses and toy libraries can apply for projects and activities that assist in the delivery of early childhood education within the community.

Applications are invited from not-for-profit, incorporated community organisations.  Organisations should have an ABN or Incorporation Certificate. Applications from communities with a population of 10,000 will be given preference.

While the criteria covers a broad range of projects such as educational resources, refurbishment, indoor and outdoor equipment and training, we cannot fund fee subsides, operational and administration costs or social activities.

From 2012 the REACH Program is proud to be supported by Third Link and their 'Thrive' Program. "Thrive represents a portfolio approach to the charitable giving of Third Link, forging long-term partnerships with quality organisations that help Australian children and young people to thrive, not just survive. It’s a truism that our children are our future, and in a nation as prosperous as Australia it’s not overly ambitious to want great things for our kids – to help them exceed, rather than just meet, educational and wellbeing benchmarks".
