The Commonwealth Government assisted with the establishment of FRRR to stimulate rural and regional renewal in Australia.

The objectives of the Foundation align with the Commonwealth’s priorities for regional Australia.

The Commonwealth has granted funds to the Foundation that in part have and will be used for grant programs and are in part retained as capital or “corpus funds” to assist FRRR operate.

The Commonwealth Government along with the Myer Foundation are the members of FRRR and each have nominated Directors on the Board.

FRRR acknowledges the contributions made by the Commonwealth Government to its establishment and ongoing operations.
