FRRR Strategic Plan 2011 - 2013
Our mission is ‘to champion the economic and social strength of Australia’s regional, rural and remote communities through partnerships with the private sector, philanthropy and governments’.
We value being a credible, independent, equitable, leading, advocating, leveraging, transforming, innovative, rigourous and reputable organisation.
We aspire to being a knowledgeable organisation with strong and diverse networks creating positive impact with our work, building on past success.
To achieve this we must have a business model that recognises the inter-dependent nature of the elements that make our business.
- The internal ‘capacity’ of the organisation underpins all elements – this includes human resources, financial and project management systems.
- ‘Relationships’ are the starting point and the end point. Our business is built on relationships. Relationships – knowing people – helps us understand the issues.
- Building our ‘understanding’ of the needs and opportunities in rural, regional and remote Australia will inform our programs and products, ensuring effectivness.
- ‘Products’ are the programs and services we deliver. With better understanding of the issues and needs, our innovative and relevant products will meet the needs and achieve positive impact. Our products will be regularly evaluated and we will have the flexibility to respond and adapt as required.
- Products that hit the mark and are effective will result in our ‘profile’ and reputation growing. Taking a more active communication and marketing approach will support the raising of our profile.
- With positive profile we will attract further partners and resources, resulting in financial and product ‘growth’.
Our strategic outcomes will focus on:
- Creating valued relationships
- Building relevant knowledge and understanding
- Creating and delivering effective products and focus
- Building positive profile and position
- Delivering sound finiancial management and growth
