within and across communities

Our experience confirms time and again that those communities which are strongest and more resilient are those with strong leadership and with programs that actively and consistently engage all sectors of community.

The programs within FRRR's Engage theme help members of communities to connect with one another, and provide particular support for engaging particular audiences. The programs can also help to connect different communities.

These grants tend to fund initiatives or programs, rather than physical infrastructure, and to create opportunities to share lessons and good ideas. 

FRRR has previously funded a number of other programs - including Creating Inspired Rural Community Leadership & Engagement (CIRCLE)  - which have had significantly positive benefits for communities.

2017 Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week Grants

This program helps community groups and their philanthropic supporters to celebrate their partnerships, with $160,000 available in grants of up to $10,000.
