FRRR/ McEwen Foundation ANZ Trustees

Foundations work jointly to provide funds for Goulburn Valley District
Two major foundations have teamed up to benefit the Goulburn Valley by supporting local charitable projects. The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) and the McEwen Foundation of ANZ Trustees are currently seeking applications in the Goulburn Valley District from organisations for charitable projects.
To be eligible for consideration, projects must be within the Goulburn Valley District and must be for charitable purposes and the organisations must meet the following criteria:
- Organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient
- Junior Legacy;
- Hospitals;
- Charities; and
- Accommodation which benefits older people.
The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal has already funded projects within the Goulburn Valley District worth more than $375,000.
The McEwen Foundation is offering $67,500 through FRRR, with individual grants available up to $15,000, and the McEwen Foundation through ANZ Trustees is also be offering larger individual grants up to $50,000 on an annual basis.
ANZ Trustees, Manager Philanthropy Partners, Ms Trisha Broadbridge and FRRR CEO, Ms Sylvia Admans will conduct an information session at the Alex Rigg Meeting Room, Shepparton Art Gallery, on Tuesday, 8 May 2007 from 1.00pm to 3.00pm.
Ms Admans said: “FRRR is proud to work closely with ANZ Trustees McEwen Foundation to bring philanthropic support into the Goulburn Valley region. Rural Australia deserves support at such a critical time and this region has been badly affected by drought and other challenges in recent times.”
Ms Broadbridge is a philanthropic advisor at ANZ Trustees involved with helping individuals who have set up private charitable foundations give their money effectively. She was Young Australian of the Year 2006 and is Founder of the Reach Broadbridge Fund.
“FRRR is an ideal partner for the McEwen Foundation in its work to support charitable projects in the Goulburn Valley District. FRRR has a keen understanding of the key issues facing people in the Goulburn Valley District and this can help us to maximise the effectiveness of the Foundation’s grants,” Ms Broadbridge said.
