Philanthropic Foundation delivers $67,500 to Nine Goulburn Valley Organisations

The Foundation For Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) has partnered with ANZ Trustees on behalf of The McEwen Foundation to grant $67,500 in the Goulburn Valley District.

Presentations to the nine organisations will be made jointly by representatives from ANZ Trustees & FRRR.

Sylvia Admans CEO of FRRR said “ We want country people to know they have friends and donors who care about rural Australians. FRRR’s  partnership with ANZ Trustees is a key partnership which assists giving into rural and regional Australia.”

Projects funded during the recent 2008 grant program in the Goulburn Valley District were:-

Australian Breastfeeding Association – Mitchell Group, Seymour

Project:  Kits & Resources, $2,900

Caroline Chisholm Society, Shepparton

Project:  Pregnancy Support Program – Goulburn Valley, $5,000

Dame Patties Menzies Centre Inc - Alexandra

Project: Support furniture for “Choice in Living” Project, $7,191

Moira Foodshare, Goulburn Valley

Project: Hardship Relief Program, $7,559

Nathalia District Hospital, Nathalia

Project:  Improving the accuracy of Monitoring Patients, $5,000

Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla Aged Care Facility, Tatura

Project:  McEwen Foundation Sensory Garden, $15,000

Tarcoola Village – Shepparton Retirement Villages

Project:  Men’s Shed Activities Program, $15,000                                  

Waranga Memorial Hospital, Rushworth

Project: Palliative Care Equipment Upgrade, $3,250

Warramunda Village, Kyabram

Project: Lounge Chairs for Dementia Care Wing, $6,600

These projects add to the eight organisations which were funded under the 2007 program.  There will also be grants available in 2009.
