ACP is the peak body for Australia’s Community Foundations, more than 80% of which are in rural or regional communities. ACP offers information, resources and a peer support and learning network for Community Foundation practitioners, advocates for the sector and raises public awareness.

ACP welcomes support to help us strengthen local community philanthropy. A donation to ACP can create grassroots community impact on a national scale through our members’ network.

Energy Innovation Co-operative Ltd - Southern CORE Fund

Energy Innovation Co-operative Ltd supports small rural communities in and around Bass Coast, South Gippsland and surrounds to install renewable energy and energy efficiency measures, helping to cut their power bills and put vital investment back into their primary activities. Your donation will help build the Southern CORE (Community Owned Renewable Energy) Fund.

Community groups can apply for no-interest loans to fund solar panels, solar hot water or energy efficiency measures. Interest-free loans are paid back to the Fund from energy savings, to support future projects. Every dollar donated is invested over and over again.

The Seville War Memorial Committee, in conjunction with the local community, is proud to be building a War Memorial in Seville. This is an approved project of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR). The War Memorial will be a contemporary artistic design, aimed at establishing an iconic tourist/local attraction. The Memorial will honour all the Seville residents who served, acknowledge those who made the ultimate sacrifice and have an additional focus on Captain George Ingram: The Yarra Valley’s only recipient of the Victoria Cross - the Commonwealth’s highest award for valour on the battlefield.

Friends of Hanging Rock are producing the first comprehensive history of Hanging Rock which is to be published in October 2017.

The stories of the traditional owners, the geology, flora and fauna, European imaginings of this strange place, and the farming and leisure uses of Hanging Rock remain obscure. “The Rock” has had a profound impact on Australian cultural identity and as such this is a story which needs to be told.

The Corryong Neighbourhood Centre (CNC), whose purpose is to support a socially connected, educated and sustainable community, established the Upper Murray Innovation Foundation as a community foundation to provide facilities, funding and assistance for the provision of learning and skills development for people in need of direct support to find their way back to integration into the community.

Bronze, Bill the Bastard Limited - Memorial Statue

Child Writes Fund - Literacy Program

The Child Writes Fund empowers children to navigate their future through story. Funds raised facilitate literacy programs for children in rural and regional areas. Funds will also contribute to the development and distribution of an app to gift the Child Writes library (consisting of 360+ titles written and illustrated by primary school-aged children) to locations where children are in crisis. The Child Writes Fund also supports International Read To Me day (March 19), an awareness campaign focused on the importance of reading to children regularly.

Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning

The Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning (HIRL) operates a unique community venue, with extensive building facilities set in 10 acres of community parklands in Hamilton. The parklands are significant as a habitat for endangered flora and fauna. HIRL is working to extend and maintain Indigenous food gardens, support a bandicoot recovery program, facilitate two construction projects (new public amenities and an outdoor amphitheatre for on-site events) and contribute to the MUD Gallery located in the Hamilton township, a not-for-profit community-run space supporting the work of local artists.
