29 Sep 2020 More than $400,000 in grants awarded for Bushfire Recovery

FRRR, in partnership with News Corp, has awarded a further $410,159 in grants to support the recovery of rural communities impacted by the Black Summer bushfires. News Corp has also announced it will be adding a further donation of $500,000 to top up the News Corp Bushfire Fund to $1.5 million.

8 Sep 2020 More than $180,000 in Youth Innovation Grants awarded

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal has awarded more than $180,000 in grants for 24 community-led projects through the FRRR ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grants program. The projects will help tackle issues faced by young Australians living in rural, regional and remote areas of the country.

25 Aug 2020 More than $1M in grants awarded for community-led projects

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal, in partnership with the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation and The Snow Foundation, has awarded $1,047,716 in grants to support 37 projects led by not-for-profit organisations across six rural communities in New South Wales, through the Investing in Rural Community Futures program.

21 Aug 2020 Drought-affected communities Tackle Tough Times Together

Thirty-six community-led projects that will help tackle the ongoing challenges faced by drought-affected communities across Australia are sharing in nearly $1.3 million in grants, through the Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal's Tackling Tough Times Together program.

12 Aug 2020 Visy Tumut Region Recovery Fund awards further grants

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal, in partnership with the Pratt Foundation, has granted a further $241,386 to support 13 community-led projects that will address a diverse range of bushfire recovery needs and community priorities in the Snowy Valleys region.

24 Jul 2020 School and Beyond Grant Recipients

The School and Beyond program was delivered from 2015 to 2020 across 11 LGA's in 2009 bushfire-affected regions.In total, 43 grants saw $496,250 in funding go toward supporting education and/or mental health initiatives that benefited 2,589 youth in 2009 bushfire-affected areas.

22 Jul 2020 Grants continue to support Black Saturday recovery

FRRR has awarded $584,971 in grants to support twenty-eight projects that will assist the continued recovery of communities impacted by the Black Saturday Bushfires in February 2009.

15 Jul 2020 Grants now available to strengthen rural communities across Australia

FRRR's flagship grants program, Strengthening Rural Communities, is now inviting applications for grants of up to $10,000 through the Small&Vital stream, and up to $25,000 through the program's new Bushfire Recovery stream to support the recovery of communities affected by last summer's bushfires.

14 Jul 2020 ANZ commits $250,000 to rural and regional communities

ANZ's Seeds of Renewal program is now open, with grants of up to $15,000 available. This year the program is offering a share of $250,000 to community organisations in regional locations for projects that improve environmental sustainability, financial wellbeing or housing access.

9 Jul 2020 Grants help create sanctuaries for fire-affected youth

Sony Foundation Australia, together with FRRR, have today announced two grants that will help young people in Mallacoota, VIC and Ulladulla, NSW, affected by last summer's bushfires.

9 Jul 2020 Dairy communities receive over $120,000 in grants

The Working in Dairy Communities Small Grants program, which is run in partnership between FRRR and Gardiner Dairy Foundation, has awarded $121,584 in grants to support 26 projects in Victoria's three dairy regions.

8 Jul 2020 Grants available to support the mental health of rural Australians

Grants of up to $20,000 are now available to NFPs throughout rural, regional and remote Australia to support projects that improve and strengthen the mental health of their communities through the In a Good Place (IAGP) program. The IAGP program, is the centrepiece of a five-year partnership between FRRR and CCI Giving.

29 Jun 2020 Westpac Foundation Rural Community Grants awarded

FRRR has partnered with Westpac Foundation to help in distributing $500,000 to 50 not-for-profit (NFP) organisations in rural and regional communities throughout Australia. Each of the NFPs received $10,000 for projects that will improve the education, training and employment opportunities in their communities.

25 Jun 2020 More than $900,000 in grants awarded to rural communities

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) has awarded $912,986 in grants of up to $25,000 to rural, regional and remote communities across Australia through its Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) program.

18 Jun 2020 News Corp Bushfire Recovery Program grants awarded

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal, in partnership with News Corp Australia, has awarded $368,386 to support 21 projects across the country that will help in the recovery of rural, regional and remote communities impacted by the summer bushfires.

9 Jun 2020 Shoalhaven Coordinator appointed to support local NFPs

Kate Dezarnaulds is joining the FRRR team as Shoalhaven's dedicated Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) Coordinator to help guide the program as it rolls out across the Region.

4 Jun 2020 Ocean Shores gets future ready thanks to $40,000 in grants

Two Ocean Shores community groups, Byron Youth Service and Ocean Shores Community Association, are sharing $40,000 in grants for projects that will help the community to better withstand and recover from any future disaster, thanks to the Disaster Resilient: Future Ready (DR:FR) Get Ready NSW program.

27 May 2020 Facilitator appointed to help Leeton turn ideas into reality

Leeton not-for-profits will now have a set of helping hands to assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of projects suggested as part of the Investing in Rural Community Futures program, with the appointment of a Leeton community facilitator, Claire Williams.

19 May 2020 Nearly $2M granted to drought-affected communities

Fifty-eight community-led projects that help drought-affected rural, regional and remote Australian communities are sharing in nearly $2 million in grants, through FRRR's Tackling Tough Times Together (TTTT) program.

18 May 2020 Investing in Rural Community Futures Start-Up Grants now available

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal is inviting not-for-profit organisations in the Shoalhaven communities of Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and Nowra to apply for Investing in Rural Community Futures Start-Up Grants to help these local groups address the needs and priorities of the community.

14 May 2020 Government's bushfire recovery funding announcement welcomed

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) has welcomed the Federal Government's announcement of $650M from the Bushfire Recovery Fund to be directed to ten bushfire-affected regions. FRRR supports rural, regional, and remote communities to be vibrant, sustainable, and adaptive.

5 May 2020 Grants available to improve health services in rural Victoria and NSW

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) is inviting not-for-profit organisations to apply for an Enhancing Country Health Outcomes (ECHO) grant to deliver initiatives that improve the health of people living in rural, regional and remote Victoria and New South Wales.

5 May 2020 Visy Tumut Region Recovery Fund awards further grants

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), in partnership with the Pratt Foundation, has granted a further $79,600 to support four projects that will help Tumut Region communities recover from the recent bushfires. This is in addition to the $649,150 in grants that have already been awarded through the Fund.

The Foundation for Rural&Regional Renewal (FRRR) and The Snow Foundation have announced a $2.5 million, multi-year partnership that will help boost the confidence, ability and skills of not-for-profit organisations (NFPs) in Batemans Bay, Nowra and Ulladulla.

Westpac Foundation today announced a new $500,000 partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), expanding its Community Grant program in rural, regional, and remote areas across Australia.

14 Apr 2020 Youth Innovation Grants open to bring young rural Australians' ideas to life

Youth Innovation Grants are now available to help tackle issues faced by young Australians living in rural, regional and remote areas. Community groups are invited to apply for at least $100,000 in grants to implement one of six ideas developed by the 55 young rural Australians who attended the 2020 ABC Heywire Regional Youth Summit.

3 Apr 2020 Visy Tumut Region Recovery Fund grants awarded

Working in partnership with the Pratt Foundation, we have granted 19 community projects in the NSW-region of Tumut $649,150 in funding to support the region's recovery from the recent bushfires. Projects will help address a diverse range of needs, including improving social connectedness, enhancing community spirit and providing mental health support through workshops, activities and infrastructure.
